A full crowd packed the Apollo Theater Thursday, Nov. 29, to listen to presidential-hopeful Barack Obama deliver a speech during his last public appearance in New York before the Iowa primary. Although obviously tired from campaigning, Obama delivered a speech that brought messages of hope and change.

Research teams at CCNY and Rice University have found a new way to protect homes and buildings from germs. An inexpensive, non-pollutant method of implanting antimicrobial silver nanoparticles into vegetable oil-based paints was discovered after extensive research.
